In this collaboration we plot a route from the Shields ferry landing to the iconic coast - a hand-drawn map born out of our Stories From Shields project, tracing the food heritage and culture that give the town its character. It follows the flavours, traditions, and everyday places that carry Shields' story forward.
Each design shines a light on the region's history, food, drink, and cultural traditions - uncovering the quiet, untold stories that so often sit hidden in plain sight.
