Kacie Culshaw

"Amputation is not for everybody"

Kacie spent years living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a condition often described as one of the most painful in the world. After multiple surgeries, years of chronic pain, countless treatments, and relying on a wheelchair, she made the life-changing decision to have her leg amputated.

As a prosthetist who spent her career helping amputees before becoming one herself, Kacie offers a unique perspective on disability, chronic pain, healthcare, rehabilitation, and what life is really like after limb loss.

From battling the “suicide disease” to competing in international deadlifting competitions, Kacie’s journey is one of determination, honesty, and hope. Kacie's story about resilience, adaptation, and finding a way forward when every option feels impossible.
